Patch Notes:

  • There was a cosmetic bug in Ankrahmun that has been fixed.
  • Outfits refresh when opening the Outfit's Window instead of on login. So you no longer need to relog anymore to update outfits.

  • There was a bug with the Efreet Faction Quest, concerning a fountain at the Fortress. This has been fixed.

  • There were certain issues with Dura's Launcher that have been fixed.

  • There was a bug with NPC Nah'Bob. This has been fixed.

  • There was a map bug with a house, this has been fixed.

  • No longer possible to logout in Emberwake's chambers.

  • Various other map bugs have been fixed.

Khepresh Original Vision Fulfilled:
Khepresh has recieved it's original vision for The Kha'labal. 


u New Houses have been added to Ankrahmun.
u For Lease Durations: Instead of lasting 1 Real Life months they now lasts 6 months.
u When you first purchase a lease-house the fee of the 1st month will be deducted from your person immediately.
u For every month after that during your lease the month's fee will be deducted from you bank account.
u If you don't have money in your bank account to pay the monthly fee you will be kicked from the lease and not have to pay the remaining amount.
u If you want to leave your lease-house you can do so at anytime with !leavehouse. When doing this the remaining fees on the lease do not need to be paid.
u This effectively means you can only own the lease for 6 months, but you do not need to pay 6 months up front, only 1 month at a time.
u When a lease expires instead of now having to wait 12 Real Life hours to repurchase the same house (which will allow others to purchase it) you now must wait 24 hours.
u Ruinous Pyramid in Ankrahmun has been slightly increased in size.
u Old Granary 2 in Ankrahmun has been slightly increased in size.

u Miscellaneous Patch Notes in No Particular Order:
u Ambushes added to the Caves of the Forty.
u Raids have not been added to Khepresh.

You need to Restart your Client today, so it updates.

u A new condition has been added to the game: Stillness
A player will gain this condition after 15 seconds of doing no action, whether moving, spells, speaking, dancing -- anything. When you are 'Still' you are not 'moving' and are 'quiet', you call no 'attention' to yourself. It's for these reasons that (New Sophisticated) ambushes will not happen to you because the 'foes in the area' are not aware of your presence.

u Death Damage is now brighter. Where previously it was very dark red, it is now only slightly dark red.
u The mana-bar should no longer show above a character's head under any circumstances.

Breeding Season - Event

The sacred papyrus foretells a season of great abundance! In the lush oases and along the life-giving banks of the valley's rivers, creatures emerge in unprecedented numbers. This is an age-old prophecy coming to life, younglings of all kinds, from the tiniest insects to the fledgling beasts of the river, rise from their hidden nests and burrows. Their youth and vivacity bring a sudden challenge to all who dare venture into these fertile lands. Though small and fragile, their sheer numbers can overwhelm even the mightiest warriors. As the sun blazes high and the waters flow freely, prepare for a world teeming with life in its most exuberant and untamed form.

Inspired by these ancient scrolls, modern explorers and researchers have turned their attention to these thriving oases. Instruments have detected an unprecedented increase in biological activity, confirming the scrolls' tellings. The spawning season has accelerated to levels never before recorded, resulting in a significant rise in juvenile populations. From the smallest aquatic lifeforms to the newly hatched predators, every nook and cranny of these fertile lands pulses with youthful energy.

This is a rare phenomenon, a testament to the fertility and life force of our world. Equip yourselves accordingly, for the young and numerous inhabitants of the oases are poised to turn your expedition into a true adventure of survival, endurance, and discovery.





 

The Event, Breeding Season, will take place:


From Friday July 4th Server Save to Sunday July 6th Server Save.

u All non-raid creatures will have 70% of normal health pool.
u All non-raid creatures will have 70% of normal loot.
u All non-raid creatures will have 70% of normal experience.
u All non-raid creatures will spawn 250% as fast as normal spawn rate.


From Sunday July 6th Server Save to Tuesday July 8th Server Save.

u All non-raid creatures will have 80% of normal health pool.
u All non-raid creatures will have 80% of normal loot.
u All non-raid creatures will have 80% of normal experience.
u All non-raid creatures will spawn 200% as fast as normal spawn rate.

Event - Blood in the Fist

It's summer and all through the land of Dura runs a sweltering heat. The forests and plains are languid and still, the mountains of the north are shy of snow and the desert seems uncrossable without the safest of provisions. The blood sticks thick in the fist of man and limb of beast, both pant under the sun causing them to swing and thrash wildly with weight. Dura is extra violent in this heated world...





 The event, Blood in the Fist, will occur Thursday June 19th to Wednesday June 25th:

u Regeneration for all vocations, of health and mana, is to be increased substantially for six days. This will occur the all six days of the event.
u Party Monsters and Legendary Monsters will appear at a much greater rate for six days. This will occur the all six days of the event.
u All players (and their summons) will do slightly more damage to monsters, not players, for four days. This will occur the first four days of the event.
u All monsters will do minutely more damage for four days. Keep in mind this will greatly raise their deadliness. This will occur the first four days of the event.
u Healing will remain normal, no increase or decrease.

Season of Nature

Buds begin small and wary but soon transform into an explosion of green, their tendrils unfurling with the promise of a new layer and memory to the land. Flowers blanket the meadows in colored troves, and the air is heavy with the scent of renewal. Amidst this rebirth, the guardians of the grove stand vigilant, their eyes focused and their senses attuned to the pulsing vitality that travels through root and bough. At the center of an ancient forest, where the trees arch high like the vaults of a branched cathedral, a sage druid communes with the the heart of the earth itself. His hands, marked with the verdant sigils of old, channel the burgeoning power that surges with every passing moment. For in this season, when life returns in its fullest, the earth itself seems more powerful than the sun or the waters or the skies. It is a time heralding growth and boundless potential. It is the Season of Nature.


 

The event, Season of Nature, will occur from Thursday June 5th Server Save to Monday June 9th Server Save.

 

u During this event all earth damage that is dealt from monsters to players is increased by 15%.
u During this event all earth damage that is dealt by players to monsters is increased by 15%.
u Player earth damage will not increase against other players.
u Monsters whose core elemental identity is earth will reward bonus experience and loot. These monsters are Slime Ooze, Giant Spider, Ancient Scarab, Dwarf Geomancer, Slime, Scarab, Cobra, Elf Scout, Larva, Elf, Swamp Troll, Wasp, Poison Spider, Bug, Spider, and Snake.
u Bonus experience for the above will be 7%.
u Bonus loot for the above will be 7%.

Patch Notes: June 3rd 2025




The Client Version has been updated today
You will need to use the DuraLauncher the first time for it to Update, not the Client. The Client will work after the first time.
u From now on in the Game-Store when you hover over an Item it will display the Text in many Rows, not one single Row. This is essentially a bug-fix.
u Added Modal Window functionality. This will support many new fun and Interactive Game-Store Items we will release as soon as tomorrow (Inscriptions!). But more importantly opens the door for future Gameplay Possibilites across a range of Systems.
u CTRL + SHIFT + R has been improved; it will restore your cursor always.
u There was a small bug with how Decimals were shown in the Game-Screen for Global-Boost-Scrolls in Valor. This has been fixed.


Game-Store/Webshop Backpacks
u When a Player now dies if he has a Webshop/Game-Store Backpack, whether on Equipment Slot or inside another container, the following will happen:
u 1) Upon Death the Game-Store Backpack(s)/Bag(s) will all be replaced with Brown Backpacks or Brown Bags
u 2) Upon Death the Game-Store Backpack(s)/Bag(s), having been replaced by Brown Backpacks/Bags, will keep all their contents/items/materials/supplies/etc inside as they were
u 3) Upon Death the Game-Store Backpack(s)/Bag(s), will all be transferred to your Depot
u If an Amulet of Loss is worn then everything will remain on your Person, unless of course the Player is Red Skulled -- if Red Skulled then Store Backpacks will go to the Depot.
u This now means when a Player dies every single thing, with no exception, that is a Webshop/Game-Store Item, something you paid $'s for will never be lost and always go to your Depot.

Leases
u There was a bug with the Leased House Prices (Ankrahmun). This has been fixed. It will be far cheaper now.
Lease Duration has been increased from 6 Real Months to 12 Real Months.

The Break System 
u Everything said in the following does not apply to the Legendary Item system. That System is separate from all Normal Game Systems. Legendary Items will not change at all. Legendary Items will break.
u The Break System has been temporarily deactivated.
u The System as it has existed up until now will not return ever.
u The System has been redesigned and optimized (we are confident it will actually serve it's primary balancing function much better as well as be far more enjoyable for Players). This means the system is conceptually mocked in all substantial parts, but the balancing numbers need to be dialed-in before released.
u We do not have the time though to implement the Redesign currently, as there are other things that take Priority. It would take most likely a minimum of 4+ days to fix it directly. However there are other things that indirectly also require time (namely the Mana-Tier System and a Blessing Review as they fall earlier [more important] in the Cascade of Balancing).
u It is unknown when this new Break System will release but it is highly likely it will not be before 6 weeks from now. We have other things we are working on finishing and as I've already alluded to there are other things we want implemented into the Game so that we can better optimize the Balancing of the New Break System (as of course Dura being a microcosm every part of it affects the other parts).
u If another Gameworld(s) is Launched before this New Break System is released the current thinking is those Gameworlds will have the Current Break System, but possibly in a reduced form.
u Instead of reducing the numbers of the Current Break System we are choosing to deactivate it. Besides the system being unideal the other reason we are doing this is it affords a unique opportunity for us to Trial how Dura will function without a Break System at all.

u Discounts for Purchasing Dura Coins has been slightly decreased on the Coin-Amounts above 80 Coins at $8.

u Some Dura Plots/Engravings options in the Game-Store have been removed for simplification
u The cost of Dura Plots/Engravings have been decreased
u Christmas Category has been removed from Game-Store. It will come back next Christmas Season.

u There was a bug with acquiring a Key, this has been fixed.
u Certain Corpses, e.g. Troll (and many others) have had their Container/Volume size increased so their bodies can hold more

u Draconia Quests, Ambushes, and Raids have been fixed if they were malfunctioning

u Certain Sub-Quests (only 2) have had a minor bug fix. They have been working perfectly except if a Player who was too low a level to do the Quest 'did it' he will not receive a Rejection Message but instead a "Sorry not possible". We have improved this so now when the Player 'does it' but is not the Required Level he will recieve a Message. To be clear if you were the Required Level it worked.
u An Ambush in Khepresh Library has been changed.

The Tale of Thalendir and Elara

In the mystical realm of Cilahaen, an elder druid named Thalendir imparted his ancient wisdom to an inspired young apprentice, Elara, who had been under his tutelage for some years. In that time she had improved her learnings under his watchful guidance, developing a deep respect and admiration for her master's abilities.


One fateful moonlit night, Thalendir decided it was time to share a powerful form of lifeforce magic with her. With fireflies floating in a calm air, they gathered beneath an ancient oak tree, the atmosphere charged with a sense of anticipation and wonder. The night was set to become a turning point in Elara's journey.

Thalendir initiated the sacred ritual, a symphony of words and gestures that resonated with the energies of the natural world. In the span of a single night, he unveiled the secrets of the spirit of this world , teaching Elara to harness the life force that flowed through the earth, the forests, and the waters. The musings and postures unfolded swiftly, each one brimming with more intensity.

As the moon reached its zenith, Elara felt an access to knowledge that she only suspected and hoped at. This new magic imparted by her master infused her being, and she embraced the newfound abilities with unwavering determination. Her reverence to her teacher as well as her own power strengthened in the crucible of a single transformative night.

From that moment forward, Elara's healing prowess soared to new heights. Her touch mended wounds, her presence offered solace, and her voice carried a sense of restoration. The tale of the elder druid and his skilled apprentice spread across Cilahaen, an inspiring testament to the power of dedicated mentorship and the rapid growth that can be achieved with proper devotion to study.

And so, the legend of Thalendir and Elara stood as a testament to the life-altering nature of the master's teachings. Within the span of a moonlit night, Elara transcended her previous limits, embracing her role as a formidable healer. Their tale became a whispered reminder of the profound impact that can be achieved when knowledge and guidance are passed on to those who are ready, uncurling the strong roots that waited within a focused spirit.



 

The event, Ode to Thalendir, will occur from Thursday May 22nd Server Save to Monday May 26th Server Save.

u For every 5 damage a Player deals to a Creature he will receive 1 HP. This means you have 20% Lifesteal.
u It will also work against summons.


As well, the following will occur though it will not stack:

u If an attack does 90 damage or more the Player will receive an extra 3 HP.
u If an attack does 120 damage or more the Player will receive an extra 6 HP.
u If an attack does 150 damage or more the Player will receive an extra 9 HP.
u If an attack does 180 damage or more the Player will receive an extra 12 HP.
u If an attack does 220 damage or more the Player will receive an extra 16 HP.
u If an attack does 260 damage or more the Player will receive an extra 20 HP.
u If an attack does 300 damage or more the Player will receive an extra 25 HP.
